My brilliant Art Dept

Not my entire Art Dept, but here's a picture of me surrounded by some very lovely ladies on a rather glorious late Sept morning....

Our Leader

Here's a lovely pic of Victoria Pile and Director Tristram Shapeero sitting on a low-loader, and clearly not too stressed out with the days events (perhaps it was early?)

Can't remember what the spider was...it probably came from either Martyn the cameraman or Rob the Lighting Director.
Apart from the serious business of filming telly, there was a little bit of mucking around off camera.

Will try to remember some of the funnier moments and post them.....

Statham's Gay Projection

"Do you think anybody will notice?"

No trickery involved. We actually projected this image on to the side of a wall in Harrow!

Some of my proudest Photoshop work!

Topmiler

The boys discuss the finer points of Topmiler with the Director.
(sorry...back to Series 1 for a bit)

New Blog Coming Soon!

Just to let you all know that I shall be starting up a Series 2 Blog, because this one will become far too crowded.

...watch this space, but for all you early adopters, here's a link to the blog (not yet fully operational!):

More from Ep 1

Here's a photo from the Ep 1, but I can't tell you what it is or what its about!

I don't like to tease...honest!

The Screening

Had a great evening last night, rubbing shoulders with cast and crew alike, along with a million people I didn't know.

Most of the cast were there, in no particular order: Tamsin Grieg, Julian Rhind-Tutt, Stephen Mangan, Mark Heap, Pippa Haywood, Karl Theobald, Michelle Gomez, Oli Chris, Katie Lyons, Lucinda Raikes, Sally Bretton

The theatre was full of cast, crew, Channel 4 bods and press.
It started with a brief re-cap of where we left the last series, and then went straight into episode 1.

Now that it's been seen by people not associated with the team, I can probably get away with passing on a few details, but will hold back on major and significant plot lines.

See my next post......

The Press Launch

Just got in from tonights screening and Press launch.

Will post some details in the am, but suffice is to say that Episode 1 of Series 2 is a stunning piece of work (I know I'm biased!)

Look out for some sneaky Series 2 pics tomorrow and the low down on the Press Launch......

More cliff hangers!

In anticipation of a small piece soon to be appearing on British Sitcom Guide, here's another picture of the finale to Series 1.

I'll post a link as soon as the article is written.

This picture shows the size of the crane arm used to acheive the cliff shots.

Cliff Hanger Storyboard

Here's my storyboard sketch for the end of Series cliff hanger.

TEASER PHOTOS......

Here are some pictures I took for Series 2. I can't tell you where they are or what the significance is, but these are all photos that directly relate to scenes from Series 2.

Guess away!!!

PS they are all deliberately ambiguous!

EXCLUSIVE - Series 2 Pics

As were getting close to air, and this doesn't give any plot away, I thought I'd post a few Series 2 pictures for all you die-hard fans.

This is a picture in the Doctors Mess, with Karl and Stephen.

Real photos on set

Often we have to mock up pictures of the cast in order to dress them in around their 'houses' to make the space more personal and realistic.

These two pictures show a before and after version of a picture I took which I mocked up for Joanna's flat, creating a late 60's holiday snap of Guy's father, obviously using Stephen dressed up.

Once I took the photo, I cut them out using Photoshop and put them on an Alpine background.

I'm not sure the viewer could even see this picture on set, but perhaps you can look out for it in the final epsiode of the series, when Guy visits Joanna at her flat.
